Flora - Trees and shrubs - Scots (Pinus sylvestris)

It is a high tree, pyramidal and conical port that can reach the maximum height of 40 meters. In adult specimens the branches start high up, is characterized by reddish bark above the upper trunk, and had a small bluish green leaves, pine cones and a small size of the gusset a little prominent. Currently occupies a land area much larger, both in Catalonia and in the whole of Europe, as has been widespread, occupying many habitats that had been the domain of oak, beech and even the fir. It is a tree species that characterize the environment of the taiga, is indifferent to the substrate and resistant to frost.
